Steps are a British BRIT Award winning dance-pop group consisting of members Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Lisa Scott-Lee, Ian "H" Watkins and Lee Latchford-Evans. Steps formed on 7 May 1997 and have released four studio albums, three compilation albums and seventeen singles to date. Their musical approach throughout their career had a strong 1990s dance-pop, House, electropop and bubblegum dance sound, similar to many artists of their time. Their name was based on a simple marketing gimmick: that each of their music videos were to be choreographed, and the dance steps were included in the sleeve with most of their singles.
