Lawsuit Filed after Two Children Electrocuted by Downed Power Line in Fort Worth
The parents of two children electrocuted by a downed power line in Fort Worth are suing the electric utility Oncor. 12-year-old Alex and 11-year-old Isaiah Lopez died last March after they came in contact with a live power line while they were playing in a wooded area of Oaklawn Lake Park in Fort Worth. Their family says the boys were inseparable. Jeff Rasansky, the attorney for the boys’ mother, says the energized power line had been down for at least 18 hours following a storm.
